Dr. Jimmy E. Jones will be giving a series of talks in the greater Houston area focused on “Building Better Marriages” and “Building Better Families”. The purpose is to share some of what is taught in TISA classrooms and our Believing Academics bookshelf. As Professor of Comparative Religion and Culture, some of the courses he has taught since TISA began offering its Master of Islamic Studies and Master of Divinity degrees in August 2019 include Islam in America, Counseling and Cross-Cultural Communication, Comparative Religion and Interfaith Involvement, Islam and Mass Incarceration, and Race and the US Civil Rights Movement. Additionally, he has been a community chaplain for more than three decades, assisting Muslims in working through marital and family issues. During his stay in the Houston area, he is scheduled to speak at the following venues:
