On Saturday, May 17, 2025, The Islamic Seminary of America (TISA) held its second commencement ceremony in Richardson, Texas, awarding master’s degrees to 7 students from the class of 2024 and 2025.  It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and a deep sense of accomplishment as we recognized the hard work and dedication of our graduates. This historic event marks a significant milestone for TISA.

Held at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center at the University of Texas at Dallas, it was a moment of celebration and achievement, and a continuation of the longstanding Muslim tradition of knowledge, scholarship, and leadership.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Aasim Padela, is an internationally recognized thought and research leader in the fields of Muslim health disparities and Islamic Bioethics. Dr. Padela is a professor of emergency medicine, bioethics, and humanities at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is also the director of the Initiative on Islam and Medicine and co-editor of Islam and Biomedicine.
