TISA welcomed students and community members to Power, Piety, and the State: 4 Visions of Governance in Early Islam, Aug 25 – 28, 2026, a special four-day short course taught by Dr. Akram Nadwi and Dr. Yasir Qadhi.
Through the study of influential texts and ideas from the Islamic intellectual tradition, participants explored important questions surrounding political authority, justice, leadership, governance, and the relationship between faith and power.
