CEEOL Launches Visionary Leadership Grants Competition

Originally to be hosted in Twin Cities, MN on Feb 12-14, 2021  and Dallas Fort Worth, TX Feb 26-28, 2021, the “CEEOL” Center Workshops have been moved online for the sake of safety and effectiveness.

The Islamic Seminary of America sought a significant sum to secure scholarships in an effort to support the training of African American/ Black Muslim leaders through the “Coping with COVID Professional Development and Organizational Development workshops”. These workshops are not open-workshops. Exclusive to a select few, applicants can earn seats to enhancing leadership skills for Islamic centers and Muslim non-profits.

Applications are open to ALL.

The workshops will focus on three areas:

1. mental health strategies for individuals and organizations

2. crisis management models from the Muslim tradition and contemporary America’s best practices

3. developing personal professional development and/or organizational development plans which will be supported by a $750 “back-home” grant to each accepted workshop participant.

Competitive applicants will earn an opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance in an area of professional development of their choosing, with mentorship in an area of organizational development.

The criteria?

Applicants must have a vision of how to improve the muslim community, whether you’re a new leader, mid career or you’ve been around for a while.
