Prepare Muslim Chaplains to Be Present Where Mercy Is Needed Most

Help prepare future Muslim chaplains to serve in hospitals, prisons, campuses, and communities—bringing Islamic guidance, compassionate care, and steady presence to people in moments of need. Your support helps equip them with the knowledge, training, and spiritual formation required to walk alongside individuals and families through crisis, grief, uncertainty, and major life transitions.

A gift of $6,000 sponsors one SOLACE scholar for a full year of graduate education, chaplaincy preparation, mentorship, and practical formation.

MEET NIMAO ALI

A Presence Rooted in Mercy

At York University, Nimao Ali accompanies students through stress, grief, major life transitions, and questions of faith. Through pastoral care, mentoring, workshops, and crisis support, she offers thoughtful listening and a steady presence rooted in Islamic compassion.

Through SOLACE, support for chaplaincy helps prepare leaders like Nimao to meet students with care, guidance, and belonging when they need it most. Her work creates space for students to be heard, reconnect with their faith, and move through difficult seasons with greater hope and support.

Meet Abdul Muhaymin

From Incarceration to a Life of Guiding Others

Abdul Muhaymin encountered Islam while incarcerated and began a journey that reshaped the course of his life. Through serious study, spiritual formation, and scholarship-supported education at TISA, the man who once needed guidance became someone others now turn to for it.

Today, he continues that work through teaching, mentorship, pastoral care, and community service, drawing on both lived experience and sacred knowledge to help others move through hardship with faith, dignity, and hope.

“Sacred knowledge gave me a way forward. Now I carry that knowledge back into the lives of people who need guidance, hope, and a reason to believe their story can change.”

Journey Shaped by Transformation

Found Islam during incarceration and committed himself to serious Islamic learning.

Scholarship Became Preparation

TISA helped deepen the knowledge, discipline, and formation he now carries into teaching and service.

Experience Became a Bridge

His lived experience helps him meet others with credibility, compassion, understanding, and genuine hope for change.
