ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Dr. Yasir Qadhi: 

Dr. Yasir Qadhi is the Resident Scholar at the East Plano Islamic Center and Dean of The Islamic Seminary of America. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Houston, studied in Madinah with degrees in Hadith and Islamic Theology, and earned a PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University.

Dr. Tamara Gray:

Dr. Tamara Gray is the founder and CEO of Rabata, focused on uplifting Muslim women and fostering positive cultural change. She holds a doctorate in leadership, a master’s in education, and spent 20 years studying Islamic sciences in Damascus.

Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans:

Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans is a visiting faculty member at TISA and ALIM’s first Scholar-in-Residence. A convert to Islam in high school, he studied in the U.S., Yemen, and at Al-Azhar University, becoming the first African American to graduate from its Shari’a program.
