Huzaifah Islam-Khan, TISA teaching assistant and writing fellow, is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Islamic Institute of Burma. He aims to be part of the solution for the unique difficulties faced by Muslims in Myanmar (Burma) by working with the Islamic Institute of Burma.

The Institute focuses on making Islamic knowledge more accessible in the Burmese language, empowering Burmese Muslims to engage in contemporary issues unique to their community. Furthermore, by equipping individuals with the necessary tools and addressing unique challenges, the Institute aims to unite the Burmese Muslim community with an appreciation for the diversity within the Islamic tradition by cultivating leaders who will not just serve the Burmese Muslim community but the wider ummah as well.
