Arif Kabir of Laurel, Maryland was recently awarded one of the prestigious TISA PIOUS Selod Scholarships. The PIOUS – Farooq I. Selod Scholarship is named after Dr. Farooq I. Selod (d. May 2020), a respected medical doctor who was very civically engaged in both the Muslim community and the broader US society.
