This Ramadan, we invite you to reflect on a transformative opportunity—one that allows you to leave a lasting legacy. Imagine empowering leaders who not only understand their communities, but also are deeply rooted within them—leaders who serve with wisdom, integrity, and a profound connection to Allah (swt). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“The most beloved of people to Allah are those who bring the most benefit to others.”

(Sunan Ibn Majah)

With your support, we can continue this vital work.

At The Islamic Seminary of America (TISA), we are nurturing leaders whose service becomes your sadaqah jariyah—a continuous charity that brings ongoing rewards. Our goal is clear: to equip emerging and established leaders with academic excellence and real-world skills, preparing them to be pillars of guidance in the communities they cherish.

Faithful Leaders, Flourishing Communities

What sets TISA apart? It is our holistic, independent approach to leadership education. As an independent institution, we provide authentic Islamic knowledge without external compromises. Our curriculum integrates classical Islamic sciences—like theology, jurisprudence, and spirituality—with contemporary leadership training—offering practical skills for modern challenges.

Our distinguished faculty includes:

With team-taught courses featuring 40% female faculty, we ensure a rich and diverse learning experience. TISA is committed to inclusivity, preparing leaders who reflect and serve our entire Ummah.

Our graduates don’t just learn—they engage in grassroots initiatives and real-world interfaith projects. Whether leading masajid, developing youth programs, or tackling pressing societal issues, they are making a tangible impact across North America.

Meet Some of Our Changemakers:

Abdul Muhaymin Priester, a 2024 TISA graduate and college chaplain who is transforming the lives of young Muslims on college campuses. Through his training at TISA, he developed the knowledge, leadership skills, and spiritual grounding needed to guide students through the challenges of maintaining their faith in a secular environment. Now, he helps young Muslims strengthen their iman, build community, and navigate college life with confidence.

Imagine being a Muslim student navigating college alone, far from a masjid or supportive community. Who would you turn to for guidance?

For many students, Abdul Muhaymin is that mentor. He provides faith-based counseling, leads Jumu’ah prayers, and offers a reassuring presence for those struggling to hold onto their faith. Beyond the campus, he also mentors incarcerated Muslims, dedicating his time to those who feel marginalized and forgotten.

Your support ensures that future chaplains like Abdul Muhaymin receive the training they need to serve.  DONATE NOW

Anika Munshi, LPC came to TISA because she saw a crisis in our communities—Muslims struggling with mental health challenges as well as faith-based issues, but unable to find support that honors both their faith and emotional well-being.

Through TISA, she gained the tools to integrate Islamic knowledge with mental health advocacy. Today, she provides faith-based counseling to Muslims and advocates for Muslim mental health in our community.

How many more Anikas are out there—ready to serve, but needing the right training?

Your support provides scholarships for students like Anika who are addressing real, urgent needs.

Imam Rifat Zaman came to TISA with a dream: to effectively serve his community as an imam and leader. But he didn’t feel he had all the tools he needed to do it well.

“I didn’t see myself as a leader. But at TISA, I found teachers and mentors who gave me the tools, the training, and the confidence to serve.”

Today, Rifat is a full-time imam at Masjid Uthman in Atlanta, GA, delivering khutbahs, counseling families, and strengthening his community.

These leaders are proof of what’s possible when we invest in strong, well-equipped leadership. Donate Now!

Omar Al-Ani, a TISA graduate, is the Director of Tarbiyah at Pleasant View School in Memphis, TN. He is an Islamic Educator with interests in youth development, education, and social engineering. Omar is devoted to enhancing Muslim youth education and development. His knowledge, experience, and uncanny ability to develop strong relationships have consistently positively impacted the lives of his students and mentees.

Your support empowers students like Omar who are addressing modern-day challenges and guiding our youth toward a stronger, more resilient faith.
