TISA’s very first graduate, Br. Omar Al-Ani and Sr. Fatima Razvi gave inspiring speeches about the impact of TISA on their academic careers. Each was presented with a beautiful plaque commemorating the historical occasion of being TISA’s first alumnus and alumna of our rigorous Master of Arts in Islamic Studies program. The plaques also recognized their incredible dedication to the TISA student body as co-founders of the student council.
Congratulations to them both as Br. Al-Ani takes on a new job as Director of a Muslim youth center in Panama City Florida, and Sr. Razvi takes another step toward her ultimate dream of a Ph.D. in Islamic studies as she joins a Masters’s Program at the University of Texas-Austin.
This momentous event was attended by over 70 influential community leaders who gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of TISA. At the event, they also learned about the opportunities to join this important work as well as explored avenues to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the institution to ensure that TISA graduates are able to continue transforming our communities for generations to come.
