The Washington Theological Consortium (WTC) and The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) have invited TISA students to their co-sponsored interfaith course scheduled for January 2-7, 2024. This course is entitled “Dialogue of Abrahamic Faiths.” According to the co-sponsors, “This unique course is an intensive course that focuses on the academic study of sacred texts and practices in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam for seminarians and religious education students from each of these traditions.”
Two TISA students will be selected to attend. The Member Schools of the Washington Theological Consortium consist of Byzantine Catholic Seminary, Catholic University of America School of Theology, Howard University School of Divinity, John Leland Center for Theological Studies, Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House, Reformed Theological Seminary in DC, United Lutheran Seminary, Virginia Theological Seminary, Virginia Union University School of Theology, Wesley Theological Seminary. In addition, there are two associate member institutions (Paulist Fathers House of Mission and Studies and Shalem Institute of Spiritual Formation), two affiliate member organizations (GSISS-an Islamic Institute and Institute for Islamic Christian & Jewish Studies), and one public educational institution (Museum of the Bible) in the Greater Washington DC and Mid-Atlantic Region.
