A Seminary is Necessary to Build a Strong Religious Community

Historically, the growth of Muslim communities depended on the establishment of major Islamic educational institutes, which produced the religious leadership for that community.

The Islamic Seminary of America (TISA) is striving to play that role in America.   Our mission is to be the world’s preeminent community of scholars where generations of religious scholars and ethical leaders pursue the highest levels of knowledge, research and training, rooted in the Quran and Sunnah and integrating the rich traditions of classical Islamic knowledge with Western academic scholarship.  Our purpose is to nurture and train a new generation of home-grown religious leaders–imams, chaplains, youth directors, relief workers, etc.

With our collaborative relationship with Southern Methodist University, we can offer an accredited Master’s degree from SMU alongside of a TISA degree.

Please make TISA part of your Ramadan giving to build an institution vital in the growth of the American Muslim community.

Dr. Yasir Qadhi, TISA’s Dean of Academic Affairs, in the video explains his journey to understanding the importance of TISA.
